Air Jordan 3

The Air Jordan 3 was released in 1988. The 87-88 seasons were when Michael would receive his first NBA Most Valuable Player award. He also crushed the competition in the Slam Dunk contest and led the Bull's to their best result since the 1974-75 seasons. Air Jordan 3 while Michael was certainly embarrassing defenders many times over by this stage of his still young career, the Air Jordan 3 truly gave birth to the mystique of Air Jordan. As evidenced by his now famous free throw line leap to win the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, it is the Air Jordan 3 and its elephant hide paneling that has emerged to be most iconic. Whether in white or the more dramatic black colorway, the Air Jordan 3 has gone on to serve as not only a performance innovation, but also a fashion statement the world over, some twenty years later.
