With Air Jordan 23 being released last year, starting this year the Jordan Brand will introduce the shoes by naming it with the current year they are being released at. Inspired by the uniforms of fencing athletes Air Jordan 2009 offers technology introduced as Articulated Propulsion Technology (APT), it ensures explosive frontward movement and strong responsiveness for the athletes. In addition to the advanced technology, the shoes also feature Thermo Plastic Urethane (TPU) chassis on the outsole with inspiration from blown glass that exclusively distinguishes one shoe with another.
